Leh-Ladakh Adventure Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Welcome to Leh—your dream journey begins! Upon arrival, you'll be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel. Today is an acclimatization day, allowing your body to adjust to the high altitude. Take it easy and rest. In the evening, explore Leh Bazaar, visit the serene Shanti Stupa, and admire the grandeur of Leh Palace. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Sham Valley (35 km, 1-hour drive each way)

After breakfast, embark on an exciting day of exploration! Visit the Hall of Fame, experience the mysterious force of Magnetic Hill, and seek blessings at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Witness the mesmerizing confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers before heading back to Leh. Enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind at your hotel.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (125 km, 5-hour drive)

Start the day with a scenic drive to Khardung La Pass, once the world's highest motorable road at 18,400 feet. Continue to Diskit, the headquarters of Nubra Valley, where you’ll visit the Diskit Monastery, built in the 14th century. Admire the enormous Maitreya Buddha statue that stands atop the monastery.

Next, head to the sand dunes of Hunder Village for a unique experience—a double-humped camel ride, a rare sight found only in India and Mongolia! End the day with an overnight stay in a camp under the starry Nubra sky.

Day 4: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok Route (160 km, 5-hour drive)

Take a morning walk to observe the simple yet beautiful lifestyle of the locals. After breakfast, journey towards Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok Route. This stunning saltwater lake, spanning 120 km in length, straddles the India-China border. Visit the famous "Three Idiots" movie shooting spot, and soak in the surreal beauty of the lake, where sunlight reveals seven distinct shades of blue. Overnight stay at a lakeside camp.

Day 5: Pangong to Leh via Chang La Pass (130 km, 5-hour drive)

Wake up to the breathtaking view of Pangong Lake. Enjoy a leisurely morning before starting your journey back to Leh. En route, cross Chang La Pass (17,350 ft), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Visit the Rancho School (made famous by 3 Idiots), Thiksey Monastery, and Shey Palace. Arrive in Leh and relax at your hotel, cherishing your final night.

Day 6: Departure from Leh

After breakfast, bid farewell to the mesmerizing landscapes of Ladakh. Depart with unforgettable memories of your incredible adventure.
