Explore Nepal: A 7-Day Travel Itinerary Featuring Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon arriving at the Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After lunch, embark on a half-day local sightseeing tour. Your journey will include:

  • Pashupati Nath Temple: Known as the "Temple of Lord Shiva," it features a golden roof and four silver doors, beautifully situated on the banks of the Bagmati River.

  • Baudha Nath Stupa: Built in the 5th century AD, this ancient stupa is one of the largest in the world.

Enjoy an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Chitwan (170 KMs / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park, renowned as one of the best-managed national parks in Asia. Adventure sports enthusiasts may opt for river rafting on the way to Chitwan or take a cable car ride to Manokamana Temple (at your own expense). Upon arrival in Chitwan, visit a Tharu village before returning to the lodge for dinner. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 3: Chitwan Full-Day Jungle Activities

Prepare for an action-packed day in Chitwan! Wake up at 6:30 AM and enjoy breakfast at 7:00 AM. The day's activities include:

  • Elephant Back Safari: Experience an exciting way to observe wild animals in their natural habitat.

  • Jungle Walk & Bird Watching: A 45-minute walk through grasslands and forests alongside the Rapti River.

  • Canoeing Ride: Observe crocodiles along the riverbanks while floating back to camp.

Day 4: Chitwan to Pokhara (160 KMs / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, transfer to Pokhara, a picturesque destination in Nepal. The valley's beauty is heightened by its lakes—Fewa, Begnas, and Rupa. Located 200 km west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 900 meters, Pokhara offers magnificent views of mountains such as Mt. Fish Tail (Machhapuchre), the peaks of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Himanchuli. Enjoy a free afternoon in Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 5: Pokhara Sightseeing

Explore Pokhara with a half-day local sightseeing tour, which includes:

  • Davi’s Fall: Also known as Patale Chhango (Hell’s Fall), this beautiful waterfall is located about 2 km southwest of Pokhara Airport on the Siddartha Highway.

  • Gupteswar Cave: A sacred cave situated opposite Davi’s Fall, stretching almost 3 km in length.

Day 6: Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. In the afternoon, explore:

  • Krishna Temple

Day 7: Departure from Kathmandu
